“Kempen Klinik Cegah & Rawat Influenza A(H1N1)” (KCRh1n1)

Klinik Cegah dan Rawat Influenza A(h1N1) (abbreviated as KCRh1n1) are Clinics (defined to also include clinics, polyclinics, private hospitals and other registered treatment centers) that have participated in the campaign initiated by Alriz Sdn Bhd and Ranbaxy Sdn Bhd (jointly referred to as “promoter”). The Campaign is a private initiative to help Malaysian fight against Influenza A(H1N1). It has the support of MOH and was launched on 20^th Aug 2009 by Minister of Health, Dato Sri Liow Tiong Lai.

These participating clinics are supplied with Oselatmivir phosphate (Fluhalt™) manufactured by Ranbaxy at a special price. Oseltamivir phosphate is an antiviral agent recommended by Ministry of health (MOH) for treatment of Influenza A(H1N1). It is a prescription drug and should only be taken at the advice of a doctor.

Under the Campaign, participating clinics have agreed to Conditions of Participations, which among others, include :

1. They will charge their patients a maximum price of RM80.00 for a box (10 capsules) of antiviral, if antiviral is required for treatment. The price is for antiviral only and does not include consultation charges and charges for other medication which may be required.
2. They will, where possible, help to lower consultation charges for treatment of ILI. This however, shall be at the entire discretion of the clinics.

This is a nationwide campaign and clinics throughout Malaysia can apply to participate. However, acceptance is not automatic and the promoter also deserves its rights to deny or terminate the participation from any clinics at anytime at its entire discretion.

As the Campaign was just launched on 20^th Aug 2009, it may take some time before all areas in Malaysia are covered. Public should search for the latest list of KCRh1n1 at the website www.h1n1.net.my, the list will be updated regularly.

Please also note that at this stage, the promoter of the Campaign only organizes the supply of the antiviral (Oseltamivir) to enable the participating clinics to lower the price of antiviral to the patients and to facilitates the public to locate the clinics more easily. The promoter has no control whatsoever over the management and actions of the participating clinics except in relation to the ceiling price of the antiviral.

Complaints of non compliance with maximum selling price for Fluhalt™ by the participating clinics may be directed to us and appropriate action will be taken. Complaints of other nature should be addressed to appropriate regulatory bodies and will not be dealt with by the Promoter.

Please note that only participating clinics (as listed in our website and identified by the  following signage displayed at the clinics )

Are supplied with Oseltamivir (Fluhalt™) at special price. The normal price of Fluhalt™ to non participating clinics significantly exceeds RM80.00 and they may not wish to comply with the ceiling price as set by us.

What are the significants of the Campaign?

To the public

• Public can now seek medical assistance and primary care on Influenza A(H1N1) from these participating private clinics throughout Malaysia.
• Public can have influenza treatment at lower cost, the max price of Oseltamivir (Fluhalt™) at these participating clinic is set at RM80.00 per box (exclude consultation).
• Public can locate these clinics easier, on h1n1.net.my, and by the signage displayed at the entrance to these Clinics.

To  the Clinics

• They can obtain supply of Oseltamivir phosphate at lower cost, to lower the price of treatment of Influenza A(H1N1).
• They can have their clinic information, including location, operating hours, public announcement etc to be listed and be searchable by public on www.h1n1.net.my.
• They can receive updates and other instructions from MOH from time to time relating to Influenza A(H1N1)
• They can participate in helping public to understand Influenza A(H1N1) better and cope better with this pandemic.
